The space is actually built inside a massive 1904 bank vault, and yes, those are the real 35-ton steel doors you’ll walk through to get to your table.
This used to be the vault commissioned for the New York Realty Bank, and the original steel walls still surround the dining area.
So while you’re sipping cocktails or digging into your burger, you’re literally sitting inside a piece of New York’s Gilded Age history.
The vibe? Think moody lighting, dark wood, and rich leather seats. It feels classy but cozy, like an old-school gentlemen’s club with way better food.
There’s a long, gleaming bar that runs almost the entire length of the room, perfect if you’re just popping in for a drink.
And the menu? It leans toward upscale gastropub, with crowd-pleasers like burgers, braised lamb shank, and steak tartare.
They also do a solid selection of wines, classic cocktails, and local beers if you’re more into sipping than snacking.
