If you think all general stores are the same, get ready to have your mind blown.
There’s one in Pennsylvania that’s on a whole different level.
It’s not just big. It’s huge. Like, “you-might-need-a-map” kind of huge.
We’re talking aisles of home décor, snacks, furniture, holiday stuff, toys, tools, and some pretty wild surprises in between.
You can grab a soft pretzel, pick up a bottle of wine, and explore fun themed sections, all in one trip.
Sound too good to be true?
Just wait ‘til you see what’s inside.
Where Is It?

Country Junction is located in Lehighton, a small town in eastern Pennsylvania just off Route 209.
It’s about 40 minutes from Allentown, around 1 hour from Scranton, and 1 hour 25 minutes from Philadelphia.
If you’re coming from New York City, plan on a two-hour drive.
About

Get ready for a shopping experience that’s anything but ordinary.
Country Junction proudly calls itself ‘The World’s Largest General Store’, and once you step inside, you’ll totally see why.
This place is massive!
We’re talking over 50,000 square feet of everything from home décor to snacks to furniture to seasonal decorations.
It’s basically a giant indoor adventure with a little bit of everything packed under one colorful roof.
They even have a petting zoo!
You’ll walk through themed sections that feel more like movie sets than aisles.

There’s a Yellow Brick Road floor trail, a full aquarium and even animatronic animals peeking out at you as you shop.
It’s a total sensory overload in the best way.
There are shelves of knickknacks, giant bags of candy, garden gnomes galore, and more candles than you knew existed.
One moment you’re browsing wall signs and throw pillows, the next you’re passing a life-sized witch.

They sell furniture, flooring, pet supplies, toys, paint, and even hardware.
If you’re visiting during the holidays, this place goes all out. The Halloween displays are seriously next level, and the Christmas section feels like a full-blown Santa’s workshop.
There’s also a snack bar where you can grab pizza, fries, and soft pretzels if you need to refuel mid-spree.
And yes, there’s a wine section too. Because why not grab a bottle of local vino while shopping for gifts?
Don’t skip the arcade. It’s small but fun, especially if you’ve got kids with you or just want to relive your skee-ball glory days.
Basically, Country Junction is a theme park as well as a store and it’s 100% worth the stop if you love places with a whole lot of personality.
Know Before You Go

Country Junction is open year-round, but if you’re into over-the-top decorations and seasonal fun, plan your visit in the fall or around the holidays.

As for hours, the store is generally open Monday through Saturday from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m., and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., but double-check their website or Facebook page before you go since hours can change during events or holidays.
Getting there is easy. It’s right off Route 209 in Lehighton, with plenty of signs along the way so you won’t miss it.
There’s a big parking lot out front, and parking is free.
Once you’re done exploring the maze of goodies inside, there’s more to do nearby.
Beltzville State Park is just a 15-minute drive and has a 949-acre lake for swimming, boating, and picnicking.

A quick tip: wear comfy shoes. This place is huge and you’ll be on your feet for a while.
And if you’re visiting with kids, be sure to check out the snacks and candy options near the entrance—it’s a crowd favorite.
Oh, and bring a big trunk. You’ll probably leave with more than you planned.
