Rutledge Hamburgers has been flipping burgers in Brownsville since 1922, serving hungry locals for more than 100 years.
It was opened by Hilda Rutledge, who ran the grill for decades before her son Martin took over the family business.
In 1995, longtime employee Gloria Perez bought the tiny burger joint and has been keeping the tradition alive ever since.
Today, it still operates in the narrow alley where it started, drawing generations of locals who grew up eating the same classic burgers.
