The Jampot is a tiny roadside bakery and jam shop run by the monks of Holy Transfiguration Skete, and everything is made by hand right on-site.
It’s best known for its fruitcakes, wine jellies, and a variety of jams, including wild thimbleberry, blueberry, raspberry, and strawberry.
The monks are part of a Byzantine Catholic monastery, and making jam is one of the main ways they support their religious community.
There’s something pretty cool about knowing your breakfast toast is topped with jam made by monks who spend their days in prayer, baking, and preserving fruit the old-school way.
When you pull up, expect a small, rustic building that feels more like a cozy cabin than a store.

Hours and Best Time to Visit
The Jampot is only open seasonally, usually from late May through mid-October, so don’t plan a winter visit because the doors will be closed.
Hours are limited, with the shop open Thursday through Saturday from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM and closed Sunday through Wednesday.
Tips
Get there early if you have your heart set on something specific, as popular items like thimbleberry jam sell out fast, especially on summer weekends.
On-site parking is fairly large, but it gets busy during peak hours, so be ready for crowds.
