Lititz might look like a small town on the map, but this Lancaster County gem packs a whole lot into a single weekend.

1. Wolf Sanctuary of PA
Wolf Sanctuary of PA is located across 80 acres and is home to over 50 gray wolves and wolf-dogs that were rescued from private owners, zoos, and the exotic pet trade.
You’ll walk along natural woodland trails during a guided tour and see massive gray wolves and wolf-dogs lounging on rocky outcrops, splashing in ponds, or howling together in a chorus that echoes through the trees.
The sanctuary was founded in 1980 by William H. (Bill) Darlington, and it focuses on giving these animals a safe, permanent home while teaching you all about wolf behavior, pack structure, and why wolves do not make good pets.

Wilbur Chocolate has been part of this town since 1884, and inside you can load up on their famous Wilbur Buds, which look like little chocolate drops that melt almost instantly on your tongue.
The store is right across the street from the old Wilbur Chocolate factory building, and you can still peek at historic photos, grab small-batch fudge, or taste treats like chocolate-covered pretzels and peanut butter melts.

Step right next door to the Julius Sturgis Pretzel Bakery, where the ovens have been baking since 1861.
This brick bakery is recognized as the first commercial pretzel bakery in the United States, and you can join a hands-on tour where you twist your own soft pretzel and slide it onto a wooden paddle just like the bakers did more than 160 years ago.
Inside, the original 19th-century oven still stands, and the guides share fun details about how pretzels were once believed to bring good luck because their twisted shape looks like arms folded in prayer.

7. Historic Erb’s Mill Covered Bridge
Take a short 10-minute drive from downtown Lititz to Historic Erb’s Mill Covered Bridge, located along Erb’s Bridge Road in Lancaster County.
Originally built in 1849, this 80-foot-long wooden bridge stretches over Hammer Creek and is one of the oldest covered bridges in the county, featuring a classic double-span design and weathered red siding.
