This place opened in 1960 and has been turning heads ever since, thanks to its over-the-top Western theme and one giant food challenge that put it on the map.

Inside, the dining room looks like an Old West saloon had a party with a Texas souvenir shop. Think mounted longhorns and tables big enough to feed a ranch crew.
Thereโs even a raised platform for challenge participants, so everyone can get a front-row seat to the steak showdown.
But the fun doesnโt stop with food.
The Big Texan is part of a whole roadside complex that includes a gift shop stuffed with all things Texas, a brewery, an old-school shooting gallery, and a motel with Texas-shaped swimming pool.
