If you’ve ever bitten into a juicy Georgia peach and thought, “I need more of this in my life,” get ready as this road trip is for you.
We’re talking farms where you can watch the packing magic happen, and cobblers so warm and gooey they should come with a warning.

From small towns to big cities, this drive is packed with stops that celebrate the peach in every possible way—fresh, baked, blended, and even 135 feet tall.
So grab a cooler and hit the road because this trip is all about chasing that perfect, sweet Georgia bite.
1. Georgia Peach World, Townsend
Georgia Peach World in Townsend, right off I-95, is a roadside stop packed with homemade peach everything.
Think peach cider, peach BBQ sauce, peach jam, and even peach salsa.
Inside, it’s a colorful explosion of Southern treats, with shelves full of local goodies like pecan pie, boiled peanuts, and sweet Vidalia onion relish, plus fresh peaches in season from May through September.
They’ve got a second spot in Richmond Hill, but the original in Townsend is the real deal, complete with a charming storefront and all the peach-themed items you could ever need.
2. Lane Southern Orchards
3 hours away in Fort Valley, Lane Southern Orchards has been growing peaches since 1908, and it smells like heaven the second you walk in.
You can head to their PeachTree Café for warm peach cobbler and fried peach pies that are pure magic.
There’s also a farm market loaded with fresh produce, peach ice cream, and handmade goodies, plus a giant playground if you’re rolling through with kids or just need to stretch your legs.
3. Dickey Farms
Next stop: Musella, where Dickey Farms has been producing peaches for over 125 years and still uses the oldest continuously operating peach packing house in the state.
Grab a rocking chair on their breezy covered porch, enjoy a scoop of peach ice cream, and watch peaches roll down the packing line just like they did over a century ago.
They’ve got a market full of peach jams, sauces, and fresh-from-the-tree peaches (when in season), plus a farm playground if you’re traveling with tiny road-trippers.
4. Atlanta State Farmers Market
If you’re in the Atlanta area, swing by the Atlanta State Farmers Market in Forest Park which is one of the biggest in the country, covering over 150 acres.
You’ll find rows and rows of fresh Georgia peaches (especially in summer), sold straight from farmers’ trucks alongside crates of watermelons, tomatoes, and other local goodies.
This place is less polished and more no-frills, but it’s packed with flavor, great prices, and the kind of peach-buying experience that feels like a true Georgia rite of passage.
5. Aunt Evelyn’s Peach Cobbler, Atlanta
Now for dessert heaven: Aunt Evelyn’s Peach Cobbler in Atlanta is where things get gooey, golden, and downright addictive.
Aunt Evelyn’s serves up deep-dish peach cobbler that’s warm, buttery, and loaded with soft, cinnamon-spiced peaches under a thick, flaky crust.
They’ve got other flavors too, but trust me, stick with the classic peach and thank me later (or grab a few to-go and make your car smell amazing).
6. Jaemor Farms
Next up is Jaemor Farms in Alto, a family-run spot that’s been growing peaches for over 100 years and feels like a full-blown country fair.
They’ve got rows of fresh peaches, homemade peach fried pies, and a peach soft-serve that’s basically summer in a cone.
If you’re visiting in the fall, there’s also a giant corn maze, a pumpkin patch, and a farm store so packed with jams, sauces, and baked goods you’ll want to bring an empty cooler.
7. Peachoid (South Carolina)
And finally, just over the Georgia border in Gaffney, South Carolina, you’ve got the Peachoid, a massive 135-foot water tower shaped exactly like a giant peach (yes, with a dimple).
You can’t eat it, but it’s a hilarious and totally iconic roadside photo stop that feels like a fitting end to your peach-themed journey.
It’s right off I-85, so you can swing by, snap a selfie with the peachy giant, and wrap up your road trip with a laugh.
