1. Key Largo
Key Largo is the first island in the Florida Keys, about a 1.5-hour drive from Miami along the scenic Overseas Highway.
It’s known as the “Diving Capital of the World” with coral reefs, shipwrecks, and John Pennekamp Coral Reef State Park, where you can snorkel or take a boat tour.
The island is also home to the famous Christ of the Abyss, a 9-foot bronze statue that rests about 25 feet underwater.

2. Everglades National Park

You can snorkel right off the beach to see coral reefs just 100 yards from shore.
