If you’re thinking of visiting the Hideaway at Royalton St Lucia soon then you might be wondering about the Diamond Club.
What’s the difference between the Hideaway Royalton St Lucia and the Diamond Club?
This post answers all of your burning questions including the key differences and if it’s worth it.
Royalton St Lucia Hideaway vs Diamond Club
The Hideaway at Royalton St Lucia is a luxurious, adults-only resort located right on the beachfront in St Lucia.
It forms a part of the larger Royalton St Lucia property, however the Hideaway is tucked away in a secluded cove with its own private beach and facilities.
You can still use all of the facilities at the main resort but Hideaway guests also get access to their own exclusive pool, private beach area and restaurant.
You also have the option to upgrade to the Diamond Club which offers an even more luxurious stay.
But what’s the difference?
Here’s an overview of what you’ll get at the Royalton St Lucia Hideaway (without Diamond Club):
- An adults-only environment.
- This is an all inclusive resort so all meals are included.
- Access to 2 bars and 9 restaurants. One bar and one restaurant are exclusive to guests at the Hideaway.
- Luxury suites which all come with an in-room jacuzzi and a balcony.
- Several swimming pools including one adults-only infinity pool with submerged sun loungers and a swim-up bar.
- Access to the Royal Spa which offers a range of treatments including massages and facials.

- 24-hour concierge service.
- Free bicycles.
- Room service and in-room mini bar.
- Access to all amenities at the Royalton St Lucia.

- Exclusive beach area with dedicated bar and waiter service.
- Exclusive bar and restaurant areas.

Interested in the differences between the Royalton St Lucia and the Hideaway? I compared those too!
How Much Does The Hideaway Royalton St Lucia Diamond Club Cost?
On average, you’ll pay between $688 and $912 per night for a Diamond Club room at the Hideaway in Royalton St Lucia.
To compare, a standard room at the Hideaway costs between $624 and $827 per night.
This means that you’ll be paying an extra $64 to $85 per night to get the Diamond Club services and amenities.
Note: The above prices compare the ‘junior suite’ at the Hideaway. Some rooms like the presidential suite are more expensive.
Is The Royalton St Lucia Hideaway Diamond Club Worth It?
This is completely down to you.
If you’re going to make use of the butler service then it’s definitely worth it as your butler can take care of pretty much anything you ask.
From unpacking and repacking your luggage for you to taking care of special requests like birthday or anniversary surprises or candlelit dinners. They’ll even prepare a bath for you if you want.
Literally whatever you can think of, your butler will take care of it.
For those of you that won’t really make use of the butler service, it may not be worth paying extra for the Diamond Club.
You do get some cool extras like a private pool area and a private lounge however it’s unlikely that you’ll spend a huge amount of time at either of them especially if you want to do lots of activities.
The Hideaway portion of the resort already has an adults-only pool separate to the main Royalton St Lucia property so you’re already getting that exclusive, private area without upgrading to the Diamond Club.
If you are looking for a super private, exclusive experience then the Diamond Club is a great way to get just a little bit for privacy as well as more premium service.
The suites themselves are also more luxurious and have extra features so are ideal if you’re celebrating a special occasion like a milestone birthday or wedding anniversary.
Suites that come with an outdoor jacuzzi on the balcony with ocean views are only accessible to Diamond Club guests.

Can You Upgrade to Diamond Club at Royalton?
To get access to the Diamond Club, you will need to book a Diamond Club room when making your reservation.
Here’s how you can do that:
- Head over to the Hideaway at Royalton St Lucia on booking.com.
💡Tip: Booking.com is my favorite place to book hotels as you get exclusive discounts on hotels the more you book with them. I’ve saved so much money over the years by doing this.
- Input your dates into the date box.

- This will bring up all the rooms that are available for your dates.
- Select a room with ‘Diamond Club’ in the name.

- Fill in your details to complete the reservation.
It’s usually not possible to upgrade when you get to the hotel as they will likely not have any Diamond Club rooms available so last minute.
The best way to ensure you get a Diamond Club room is to book it in advance.
And that’s it!
Thanks for reading this post all about if the Royalton St Lucia Hideaway’s Diamond Club is worth it.
I personally think that the Diamond Club is definitely worth it if you’re going to make use of the extra services and facilities.
